Everybody has dreams. Some are bigger than others and some are just straight up tiny. That’s just how life is. People are different. Unfortunately, not all dreamers get to relive their dreams in the real world. The few that do, don’t even get to experience them the way they imagined or at the time they expected.
Positive affirmations have become one of the common success prescriptions nowadays.
Even though these statements are effective, it could be difficult to predict the exact point in time at which their effects will manifest. For instance, you could recite to yourself all morning that you are a wealthy person; however, you won’t really know exactly when you’ll achieve the level of affluence that’s in your mind.
Not to worry.
You might not be able to tell the exact dates your dreams will become a reality but you can surely regulate the period over which they actualize.
Some things are probably going to have to change though. Below are some of them.
Stop complaining and make a change!
“I can’t do it”, “Why me?”, “Can’t you tell someone else?”
Have you ever said any of those words before? If your answer is yes, then you have a complaining problem.
Put simply, complaining is a bad habit – more like an addiction. Most people who complain do it unknowingly and this is because they have been doing it for so long that it has become a part of their very DNA.
This habit usually begins at the earliest stage in life, childhood. Failure to overcome this behavior when young, is what causes it to stick around even in adulthood and this could be really detrimental to your dreams. This is because complaining creates negative energy and also acts as a repulsive force to the people that are meant to help you attain your dreams.
In order to make a significant difference in your life and achieve your target in a shorter period, you have no choice but to quit this habit for good!
So, how can I stop complaining?
The answer is simple. First of all, you need to be aware of it. Take any situation in your daily life and ask yourself this question, “Do I love and look forward to responsibility?”
Please be totally honest with yourself about this.
Once you are aware that you have a complaining issue, take a look in the mirror and tell yourself that you really need to make a change. Remember, you are not only doing this for yourself, but for your dreams and loved ones as well.
Imagine a situation whereby you’ve acquired all the money you desired, but can’t take a little responsibility. As a matter of fact, you won’t even reach that level if you can’t take more responsibility in your life.
You need to change your mindset and attitude! Ask yourself why you even complain in the first place. It’s not like whatever you are going to do is going to kill you.
As Nike – one of the top shoe companies - puts it, “Just do it!”
When someone asks you to do something, don’t think about how long it’s going to take or how tired it’s going to make you. Instead, try thinking about how it’s going to make them feel for a change. C’mon, now be considerate.
Spread the love!
Moreover, you can tell yourself this everyday – bad men avoid responsibility, good men accept responsibility and great men look forward to responsibility. By doing so, you’ll have raised your own expectations bar from just being good to being great. That means that the worse you’ll end up doing will actually be good.
It’s all about being proactive. Rather than awaiting tasks, look for them. Ask someone – even before they do - “What can I do for you? - May I proceed with the next project? - Need any help?” Such questions will not only correct your mindset and attitude from negative to positive, but will also change your aura into an attractive force that will ultimately bring your dream actualization dates closer than you think.
So, try it! Say the mantra and watch yourself live the life you really desire sooner than you think.
